Coach Schaumberg (Boys Head Coach – Jumps)

Coach Ken Schaumberg, the Boys Outdoor Head Coach, has been with Fairport Track and Field since 2003. He is a resident of Walworth, New York, and has been employed by the Wayne Central School District as a Physical Education Teacher for over 30 years. He and his wife Sue have four daughters, Alicia, Traci, Tiffany, and Abbey.

Coach Schaumberg was a standout athlete achieving All-County recognition in the sports of Baseball and Indoor Track in High School. Using his personal experiences he has been a successful coach in many areas. Coach Schaumberg has varsity head coaching experience in the sports of Track and Field, Gymnastics, and Volleyball. He has also been a volunteer coach for many youth sports teams, private clubs, and recreation programs including Special Olympics, Junior Olympics Track and Field, Softball, Baseball, Soccer, and Volleyball.

Coach Schaumberg received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from Ohio University where he was a Varsity Track Letterman in the High Jump and Decathlon Events. He also holds a Masters Degree in Health Education from SUNY Brockport. He credits his drive to coach high school athletes as a direct result of his positive athletic experiences he had in high school and college.
